Set-by-set filtering for 8,000+ Magic: The Gathering singles past Shopify’s 5,000-product filter limit.

The Challenge
An Australian Magic: The Gathering store with 8,000+ single cards, synced from SortSwift several times a day. Shopify’s free filters stop working on collections over 5,000 products, and a cart page bug was blocking checkout.
Our Approach
We built automatic collections per set with filters for colour, rarity, card type, mana value, condition, foil, price and stock, fixed the cart bug and added 24/48/96 per-page options — all inside the theme.
The Impact
Customers can filter the full catalogue again and check out without errors, and SortSwift syncing keeps running unchanged.
